During the last year 14 Paralympic medallists choose CAR Sierra Nevada (CSD) to carry out the part of their preparation on the final stretch to the Paralympic Games Rio 2016.

Last September, during twelve days, the Brazilian city of Río held the XV Paralympic Games. The total of 4.350 athletes fought in 528 events in 22 different sport disciplines.

The total amount of medals that the athletes who stayed at CAR Sierra Nevada  (CSD) won is 35. Those medals were obtained by the athletes of this 5 nationalities: Spain, Brazil, Poland, Norway and Germany, in swimming and cycling events.

At Olympic Aquatics Stadium 12 medals were won by the emblematic swimmers such as Teresa Perales, Israel Oliver, Michelle Alonso, Oscar Salguero, Nuria Márquez, Daniel Dias or  Susana Rung.

Twelve silver and eleven bronze medals complete the  list of 35.
