The Kazan and Glasgow championships have highlighted the great level of the swimmers which during the last year have been training in the High Performance Center of Sierra Nevada.Glasgow hosted the IPC World Championships 2015, where 6 golds, 10 silvers and 13 bronzes were achieved. Successful teams like Spain, Germany, Portugal or Norway carried out part of their training in our center. In total, 29 medals were awarded to those countries.
The Russian city of Kazan was chosen to host the Absolute Swimming Championships. In this occasion the total of medals achieved by the swimmers that had accomplish part of their preparation in the CAR Sierra Nevada CSD was 20. From those 20 medals, 5 were gold, 8 were silver and 7 were bronze. The provenance of those medalS couldn’t be wider, gathering 10 nationalities from 3 different continents: Spain, Germany, Italy, Hungary, Poland, Japan, Brazil, Denmark and France.
